The Declaration of Intention to Study Law form is to be filed by all Texas law students who intend to apply for licensure in Texas. It is a pre-cursor to the Application.
The Application focuses on the Applicant’s good moral character, fitness, legal education and other qualifications required to practice law in Texas.
If the Board determines that the Applicant does not have the requisite present good moral character and fitness or suffers from chemical dependency, the Applicant may request a hearing for further review and consideration.
